Special Weapons

These are interesting weapons that needed or deserved their own write up and stats for use in both my home game and conventions. Clink of images to download the PDF.
Note: Some of these weapons mention my Reloading Rules; click here to get them.

Bone Weapons

Jawbone hatchet illustration by Je Shields There's are several supernatural beings who are vulnerable to bone weapons, especially Grave Ghouls (bone weapons do double damage to Grave Ghouls), so it was worth the effort writing something up for them.

I'd like to thank artist Je Shields for sending me the bone weapon illustrations for use in this write up. If you haven't yet, go check out his work and consider a commission from him!

Image of the Taurus Judge handgunThe Taurus Judge

Another joint project between the Host and BTS-fan, house guest and Police Detective
Bill Schoen's upcoming Modern Small Arms sourcebook. Wether you're hunting the Supernatural, mortal enemies or small game or pests, the versatility of the Judge could come in handy...

“More than a decade since it was first introduced, the legendary Taurus Judge® still rules. Today, it's available in more than a dozen models. Capable of chambering both 45 Colt and 410 shotshell, it's the original five-shot game changer.”

Growing in popularity due to its versatility in ammunition while maintaining good handling and accuracy, the Judge is a favorite for home defense and self-protection as well as both target and recreational shooting. Its compact size and 410 shotshell capacity are also gaining popularity for small game hunting and pest-control. Due to its popularity, a variety of models, accessories, grips and sights are available.
Note: The Zombie Close Combat Firearms rules on page 182 of the Dead Reign RPG and my Shotgun House Rules apply to the Judge when firing 410 shotshell.

Ideal Conceal Cell Phone Gun

Image of Ideal Conceal handgunFrom a joint project between the Host and
BTS-fan, house guest and Police Detective Bill Schoen's Modern Small Arms sourcebook, comes this intriguing little number...

Carry with confidence, Conceal in style.

In today’s day and age, carrying a concealed pistol has become a necessity. But what if you didn't’t have to conceal? That’s where Ideal Conceal comes in. Smart phones are EVERYWHERE, so your new pistol will easily blend in with today’s environment. In its locked position it will be virtually undetectable because it hides in plain sight.

Ideal Conceal Cell Phone Gun (Semi-Auto)
Country: USA, Cartridge: .380 Auto
Feed: Breech fed 2 rounds.
Weight: .88 lbs. (.4 kg)
Barrel Length: 3.1 in. (7.9 cm)
Approx. Effective Range: 16 ft. (5 m)
Damage: 2D6, Cost: $400
Notes: Engineered to look like a cell phone or other personal digital device, the gun can be carried on a belt holster and looks inconspicuous. It still looks like a gun when viewed under an x-ray machine, however. Anyone trying to visually identify this as a pistol worn by someone by using the Recognize Weapon Quality skill is -20%. Remember, that's on top of any penalty suffered(half) if the weapon is not handled by the examiner.

GM notes: I see this concealable pistol as a way of not attracting attention if a PC needs to investigate an area with civilians/people present, and as a last-ditch weapon against an unexpected attack by a cultist/witch/human/mortal targets. It may injure a supernatural being, but I wouldn't bet my life on ever destroying one with it.

Its range is limited and only has 2 shots, but if you need to be in an area where you don't want your PC's risking unwanted attention but still want something for self-defense, this one is a smart carry. Its also designed with safety in mind and cannot fire unless the grip is opened. Click here to visit the company website. Click here for a good demo video.

The Smith & Wesson M327 TRR8

The “TRR” stands for Tactical Rail Revolver, and the “8” refers to its bullet capacity.

The S&W M327 TRR8 is supplied with two rails. With the rails (which are good for adding lights, lasers and optics), and its 8-shot capacity, The S&W M327 TRR8 meets the description of a “Tactical Rail Revolver”.

M48 Kommando Tactical Shovel

The M48 Kommando Tactical is the ultimate tactical shovel that also doubles as a defensive weapon!

Features virtually indestructible, injection-molded nylon handle with 30% fiberglass & nylon reinforcement. The shovel head is made of tempered 2Cr13 stainless tool steel with a hard, black oxide coating. The shovel point edge is sharpened, with a partially serrated edge on one side, and a concave chopping edge on the other. Perfect for camping and outdoors use, light chopping, or for use as a defensive weapon in an emergency situation.

This item was added due to my being a fan of tactical gear that has multiple uses, and more items like it will probably be added to this section in the future.

Dead on Annihilator Hammer from thinkgeek.com

Dead On Annihilator Superhammer

The spike mounted at the bottom can pierce the skull of a walker like a spork through pudding. The claw is just the right size to lodge in a fetid rotting eye-socket, and the sharpened edge behind the handle is just sharp enough to remove a virulent biting head from a shambling corpse.

This item is basically a tool that sells as a toungue-in-cheek zombie slaying weapon. One of my players wanted his character to carry it, so I took the time to write up stats for the fun of it one afternoon. Enjoy!

Image of Sap Gloves

Sap Gloves

In my opinion Sap Gloves aren't given their due. Having used them and been taught how to use them properly in a previous job, I can vouch that there is more to them than simply adding a +2 damage bonus.

To that end I've written up some information and details concerning sap gloves, including bonuses while using them (both offensive and defensive).
